Frequently Asked Questions

How are your miniatures made?

Sometimes I have a plan, but other times one object will spark an idea and a whole scene grows from there!

I save all kinds of boxes, containers, old instruments and their cases, dried gourds, large shells, and much more to use as homes for houses and dioramas.

Construction materials include cardboard, aluminum foil, masking tape, and many types of glue! Little tree houses have been made from old decorative lanterns, peanut  and Pringles cans, and shipping boxes. It's amazing how things can be transformed with a little paint and elbow grease! Oh, and don't forget imagination! 😉

What materials do you use for your miniatures?

I use a variety of thrifted and recycled materials in my miniatures: fabric scraps, old buttons and beads, boxes and cardboard, plastic packaging, and paper. I also love incorporating things found in nature like nut shells, sticks, and other interesting items. Each material adds a unique touch to a piece. Even if I make more than one of a particular item, no two are alike.

Do you offer custom designs?

Yes!

Though I'm limited on how many custom orders I can take, I would be glad to talk with you about your request.
